About us

Over the last 10 year I have developed my skills in biomechanical assessment and orthotic manufacturing. I started learning alongside my father Norbert, the founder of Foot Factor and supplemented this a diploma in Foot health and qualifications at Sidas/Podiatech in Voiron France. As technical director I work along wide our in-house Podiatrists and liaise with closely with consultants, physiotherapists and other health professionals in our network. I pride myself on attention to details and providing our clients with high level solutions to their orthotic and biomechanical needs.

With a strong background in sports, I have raced bikes at a national level. My other great passion is skiing and mountaineering, this has lead me particularly to Val d’Isere, France. Where I have spent many seasons and had the opportunity to work with World Cup ski racers. This experience has been invaluable in both the medical and sports sector when creating Bespoke orthotics for our clients in London.

During my time at Foot Factor I have worked with numerous professional athletes most notably cyclists from the INEOS Grenadiers, Jumbo Visma, Groupama FDJ, Bahrain Victorious and the French and British Olympic teams. Since 2021 I have built a close relationship with The London Lions basketball team and continue to support their players with Foot Factor orthotics.

As a podiatrist, my interest and skills are in the assessment and management of lower limb injuries and pathologies with a specific interest in sports.  I qualified in 2014 from the University of Southampton, and subsequently gained a Master’s in Clinical and Health Research and Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine from the Royal College of Podiatry and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.  I have worked in the NHS and private sector in the UK and Canada.  I was previously an Associate Professor at the Michener Institute in Toronto, and am a visiting lecturer at Ziauddin University in Karachi.

My interest in podiatry came initially from working as a ski boot fitter where I learned the basics of foot anatomy and developed skills in building custom insoles.  Prior to my degree, I gained ski instructor qualifications and worked at Whistler Blackcomb.  My sporting interests are in mountain and endurance sports, particularly skiing and trail running.

To date, I have worked with a number of professional athletes including footballers at West Ham, Basketballers from the London Lions, Japanese Olympic figure skaters, and a number of elite runners and professional cyclists.

Clinically, I am passionate about biomechanical and gait assessment, and the prescription of orthoses (orthotics/ custom insoles/ AFOs/ Richie Brace).  I also have skills in nail and minor surgery and steroid injections.  I strive to provide each patient with a clear diagnosis and personalised management plan to solve their foot and lower limb complaints, and enjoy working alongside consultant and physiotherapy colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As a clinician with over 20 years’ experience across NHS and Private I have been passionate about improving care for patients with lower limb conditions focusing on mobility, function and social interactions as a baseline for measuring treatments. Through a detailed assessment, diagnosis and management plan approach, accessing the latest imaging and other techniques my method is to get my patients back to their desired activities quickly and safely.

Working with you in an agreed and shared way will deliver on our joint aspirations for your care. My clinical areas of focus are musculoskeletal conditions in patients of all ages along with diagnostic and interventional injection techniques.

Utilising the latest techniques in orthotic management as well as addressing the underlying biomechanical influences will yield fast and long-lasting results. I was appointed to my NHS consultant post in 2016, along with academic roles as clinical and associate professor in podiatric practice I ensure my clinical work is evidence based and focused on current methods for the best outcomes for my patients.

I am the past Chair of the Royal College of Podiatry and hold two Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine including on at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow).

I've been an integral part of the Foot Factor team since 2000, managing the clinic and supporting our many clients. It has been my pleasure to work alongside Norbert as Foot Factor has developed over the years and to now move to the next level with Hugo and Matt, as Foot Factor expands into our new premises.

Trained in Lyon, France, I have over 30 years of practical experience in gait, biomechanics and making orthotics. Early in my career, I spent a decade working in the Research and Development of SIDAS France (Con’formable, Podiatech). My role was specialising in and developing techniques and products now used across the orthotic industry globally today.

I founded Foot Factor in 2000 to bring these techniques I developed in France to London.  My work has given me the opportunity to work closely with numerous elite athletes from a wide range of sports as well as the doctors, physiotherapists and health professionals supporting sports teams and individuals. I am particularly proud of my time working with the men’s and women’s French national ski team, including with Olympic gold medallists.

I have stepped away from clinical practice after over 30 years developing my own unique techniques and approach, finding the best solutions for optimum performance, comfort and stability, following my diagnosis of Ataxia. Today, I continue to guide and advise the Team as they move forward with the Foot Factor ethos.
